This does not look like the sort of contest to get heavily involved in, being an end-of-season maiden in soft ground and with little form to go on. Of those who have raced, Hard Nose was too slowly away to give himself a winning chance on his debut at Leicester recently. He didn't appear to mind the ground on that occasion and, with the experience under his belt, he can build on that promise and deliver here and is the TEAMtalk selection. Crimson Dancer and Bahlino both need to step up markedly on their introductory efforts, and it would be a surprise if either were good enough here. Moon Jaguar was patiently ridden on his debut at Lingfield and improvement is expected here, while the market, as usual, will probably be the best guide to the chances of the five debutants, particularly Barry Hills' Sadler's Wells filly, Shouette, and Ed Dunlop's well-related Desert King colt, Future Kings.
