Bermuda Beauty, Lucys Lady and Baytown Lulu are the three for the shortlist in this open contest and the vote is given to Bermuda Beauty. The selection has been knocking on the door on each of her last three runs and she looks to have been found a good opportunity here to finally get her head in front. She was a good second behind Solo Star at Redcar last time over 7f, but she gave the impression that day that she would be better over 6f, and as she gets that here she is hard to overlook. Lucys Lady was unable to overcome a poor draw at Thirsk last time but she had previously gone close at Beverley and she is certainly entitled to plenty of respect here. Baytown Lulu would have claims on the pick of her form and it is interesting that she is quickly turned-out after a below-par effort at Brighton on Tuesday. However, she has plenty to prove at present and may be best watched on this occasion. Montini Royale has shown some ability on her two runs but she will need to improve to get competitive today, and for the winner we return to Bermuda Beauty.
