Maddie's A Jem can foil the hat-trick bid of White Ledger, with Never Without Me also worth consideration. This trio should have the race between them and with Frankie Dettori on board again to weave his magic, Maddie's A Jem can follow up his Nottingham victory with ground conditions very much in his favour. White Ledger is very well handicapped on his best form and has rattled up back-to-back successes at Catterick and Sandown. Richard Fahey's five-year-old showed that he too likes testing conditions when being rousted up to prevail on the line last time. Never Without Me has only been successful on the all-weather so far but ran really well against On The Trail at Pontefract and will open his Turf account soon. Kennington was also narrowly beaten at Southwell last time and has a squeak of reaching the frame, but Maddie's A Jem will not go down without a battle and is the one with all the ticks in the right places.
