In depth

Verdict

Maj William Martin is put forwards but the market should provide some clues as to expectations for his chances and those of his opponents. Mick Quinn's record in juvenile sellers isn't as hot as his record in claimers but that does show that he knows what's required to score at this level. Those to have run haven't shown a great deal and his runner is selected in the hope that he may prove up to the task of making a winning debut. His dam was a multiple winner, including over the minimum trip as a juvenile which offers some cause for encouragement. Talulah Bells is just about the form pick but she has been beaten in three sellers already and is vulnerable. Elusive Ronnie has contested two decent maidens and may benefit from this easier task whilst Champagne Leader and In The Moment are open to improvement. Mick Quinlan provided the winner of last year's renewal so support for Simple Rhythm would be of keen interest but she spoilt her chance on debut by bucking and kicking on leaving the stalls. Probably not a race to get heavily involved in, Maj William Martin is the suggestion.
