Captain Margaret, Haatmey and Lucayan Dancer are the three for the shortlist here and preference is for Haatmey. Mick Channon's charge only ran twice last season and failed to figure, but was running in better class than this. The son of Josr Algarhoud was a decent two-year-old, running consistently and scoring at Bath over this trip. After a promising seasonal debut behind Quizzene, he was well beaten in the London Paddy Power Gold Cup at Newbury. Something was clearly amiss because he hasn't run since, and dropped eight pounds in the ratings, he can spring a surprise. Lucayan Dancer looks a danger. Consistent throughout last season, he won at Chester and was a good second at Southwell on testing ground on his re-appearance. He will handle the ground and can go close. Captain Margaret has won three times on the all weather but has never found success on the turf. She comes here fit but may not represent value. Haatmey is a sporting selection to maintain Mick Channon's good start to the season.
