A very open nursery that may fall to Russian Rocket, with Il Pranzo and Talcen Gwyn the likely dangers. This son of Indian Rocket was no match for Obe Gold and company in the valuable Redcar Trophy, but had previously put up some fine performances in maidens and handicaps, including a victory on the all-weather at Lingfield and a second spot behind Forzeen on the turf at the same track. Today's opposition are nothing special and a return to the winners circle could be on the cards. Talcen Gwyn landed a similar contest to this at Ripon in September and hasn't been disgraced in better company since, he rates a big danger to the selection. Il Pranzo has the best recent form having beaten Depressed on the all-weather at Wolverhampton four days ago, however this is a lot tougher. Best of the remainder could be Hits Only Cash, but Russian Rocket may have the best overall form and gets the vote.
