In depth

Verdict

HI HO SILVER gave Velvet Vista 5lb and beat her almost 3 lengths in a 7f handicap on fast going here last summer. The latter made much the greater strides and completed an all-weather hat-trick later but has plenty to do to turn the tables on these terms. Cmon Cmon hardly ever races away from Newcastle where he's won twice but the fact that he's making the long journey from North Yorkshire suggests a big run is expected. Maurice Dancer is best on the all-weather and his narrow defeat here in August came on soft ground while all of Hunters Step's three victories have been on the all-weather and he's yet to reach a place on Turf.
