In depth

Verdict

Ahdab went up 5lb for landing a novices' event on Polytrack at Lingfield and has been unable to cope. Byzantia scored at Southwell for the Gosden yard in November and changed stables. She started favourite for a Chelmsford handicap earlier this month but didn't quite get the run of the race. CAPLA BERRY (NAP) won over 7f on fast ground here in June and followed up over that trip at Doncaster. She didn't do as well on much softer going later and these are her conditions. Turntable also enjoyed fast going when completing a double last summer and would have to be considered if ready after a break while neither of the remaining pair can be dismissed in a tight little handicap.
