Mr Lambros has been in fine form on the sand this winter and obviously warrants plenty of respect back on turf off a lower mark but it remains to be seen whether he will be as effective on it, particularly with the ground probably faster than ideal, and preference is for Tanforan who gets the vote ahead of Namroc. The last mentioned is set to go up 3lbs in future handicaps following a decent effort on his reappearance when chasing home Rio Riva at Redcar last week but that was over a mile and Neville Callaghan's gelding may not be as effective dropped back to seven furlongs here. Clive Brittain's Akona Matata has shown progressive form on sand this winter and could be of interest back on turf, while Call Me Max may be best watched on his return. H Harrison has disappointed in his last two starts and is hard to recommend, while Banjo Patterson would have claims on his best form of last season but ran below par when last seen and is now hard to back with confidence although a market move for him would be of interest given the colt's connections. The vote then goes to Tanforan, who comes into this in fine form and is set to go up 3lbs in future handicaps.
