In depth

Verdict

Tawaassol has an obvious chance in this company to open his account and is taken to do so at the main expense of Chanteuse Noire and Oneiro Way. The last mentioned is progressing with his racing but needs to improve again to trouble the selection. Finsbury has shown ability in all three starts and is entitled to respect but may have to settle for a minor role again, while Clive Brittain's Crimson Year looks the pick of the newcomers on pedigree although it has to be of concern that the daughter of Dubai Millennium has not seen a racecourse until now. Jeremy Noseda's Chanteuse Noire is probably better than her reappearance would suggest and the vote goes to Tawaassol, who showed plenty of promise on a softer surface on his Leicester debut last year and he should be equally effective, if not more so, on today's faster ground.
