Beverley Beau put up a great effort behind Paddywack at Beverley last week and a repeat of that would probably be good enough to take this, with Multahab, Smiddy Hill and Mountain Pass others to consider. The selection is ultra consistent in this sphere, handles fast ground well and does not mind whether he he contests races over five or six furlongs. He is capable of going very well off this mark and is taken to land the prize. Smiddy Hill heads the weights here and is a real 5f specialist. He doesn't win too often and has tumbled down to a mark of 60 as a result. He wasn't far away from 2lb higher here in May and should be on the premises. Multahab was raised a massive 15lb for an easy Brighton win two starts ago, but after being thrashed back there last time he has been dropped to a more sensible 53. He can be competitive again now, while Mountain Pass carries the champion jockey, who won on him at Lingfield in February and cheek pieces may help his cause. But Beverley Beau is the one we're on here.
