Great Hall pounced late to edge out the odds-on Alqamar at Ascot earlier this month and is only a pound worse off. He’s been placed over this trip in the past and the Godolphin representative does not look the heartiest of battlers so may struggle to turn the tables. Star Of The East looks held on the form book while Theydon Grey may be in the handicapper’s grip but William Hunter rarely runs a bad race and Nadaitak is lightly raced and stays well. ZENON was far too keen in a Listed race at Goodwood last month but an earlier third at Chester has worked out well and he looked a promising sort when winning at Chepstow and Haydock in the summer – soft going suits. Cliff Face is best suited by 1m4f on Polytrack.
