In depth

Verdict

Hope Is High arrives in peak form and overcame trouble in-running to beat Wassail at Bath last month with something to spare. She’s another 7lb higher today but can’t be ignored. Desert Cross beat Innoko at Bath in July but softer ground here would be a concern and the latter may come out best this time. Delannoy only won a seller at Goodwood but Eben Dubai has place claims again and the three-year-old Affair won over the trip last month. WITH PLEASURE was successful over an extended 2m two runs ago and followed that up with a good second in an amateurs’ race over 1m4f on soft going at Newbury. He’s creeping up the handicap but may still be the answer to a lucrative series final.
