      Verdict

POLYBIUS (NAP) was only fifth behind Mazzini on similar terms at Chelmsford last month but has come back to form in subsequent starts and was hampered when mounting a challenge last time at Ascot. A reproduction of that effort can see him end his losing run. Show Stealer is possibly better over a stiff 5f but is starting to come down the weights again. Lady Freyja got back to winning ways over this trip at Newmarket and Lightning Charlie and Excellent George also warrant a mention while the booking of De Sousa for Chris Dwyer’s Erissimus Maximus suggests he’s expected to run a better race this afternoon.
