Russian Silk, Bailey's Outshine and Violets Pride are the three to look at in a wide open race and Russian Silk is taken to defy top weight. Baileys Outshine showed real promise to be placed at Southwell and Haydock on his first two starts and then made no mistake at Lingfield last time when reverting to the minimum trip. He clearly has a lot of pace and is a consistent type and will be hard to beat. Runner up at Leicester and Musselburgh in recent starts, Violet's Pride has a good weight here and can run well at a nice price although she is more exposed than some. Russian Silk won well on her Carlisle debut and then was a close third in a better contest at Beverley next time. That was a decent contest in the context of this race and Russian Silk is taken to be too smart for her rivals.
