tracked leader, ridden and every chance over 1f out, not quicken inside final furlong
held up, ridden over 3f out, soon weakened
always behind, ridden and weakened from halfway
held up in touch, outpaced over 2f out, stayed on inside final furlong
held up in touch, pushed along over 2f out, driven and stayed on well to lead close home
soon led, ridden and challenged over 1f out, edged left under pressure inside final furlong, headed and no extra close home
Cabeza De Vaca was far from disgraced when returning from a long break at Epsom two weeks ago, and should strip fitter for the outing. He did little wrong on that occasion and should be up to winning a race of this nature. However, it is worth noting that he was well supported last time out and may not be one to take too short a price about as he bids to heal some well burnt fingers. The step back to seven furlongs may not be ideal for Caper and he is not hard to overlook here. Therefore the Ed Dunlop-trained pair, Rocket Force and Shuhood appeal as the main dangers, with the booking of Richard Hughes just persuading TEAMtalk to side with former on grounds of value.
