        Verdict

        Chris Wall has done well at this Norfolk venue down the years and PENTLAND HILLS is taken to end a frustrating string of runner-up efforts for the Newmarket handler. James Doyle is an eye-catching booking for the selection, who will have no issues on good to soft after finishing second at Thirsk under similar conditions. Poetic Steps went off favourite at Brighton recently but was tailed off, although his yard are adept at returning their charges quickly to the fray after such setbacks with positive results. Dark Side Jazz is respected but his best efforts have been delivered at Lingfield while Rupert's Lass is definitely one to watch after shaping with distinct promise on her handicap bow. It is interesting to see her now step up nearly half a mile in trip.
