In depth

Verdict

Dorelia is taken to score here at the expense of Cordelia and Madame Medusa. The selection is a newcomer from the Gosden yard and on breeding looks a nice type. Connections have a good strike rate with their first time outers and in such a poor maiden he warrants plenty of respect. Cordelia ran well at Beverely on her penultimate outing when second to Hotham but then was slightly disappointing at Bath last time out so she is to be treated with caution. Madame Medusa is more reliable having finished second three out of her last four runs. It wont be long before she breaks her maiden tag but for the winner we return to Dorelia.
