Many in-form types to post and hard to dismiss any with real confidence. Alhaazm is a likely favourite in view of connections but still retains maiden status and better value may be found elsewhere. The Throstles bounced back to form last time but now takes a step up in grade and First Response would benefit from a little kindness from the handicapper. Balladeer has a chance at his best but does tend to throw in the occasional poor effort so a chance is taken with THE CORPORAL with Buick a good booking. The ex-Aidan O'Brien gelding has taken time to find his feet for new connections but scored with something to spare here latest and could prove leniently treated. Beguiling Charm, Assembled and Windsor Cross cannot be ruled out either in a wide-open heat.
