Verdict

MALICE OR MISCHIEF overcame a very tardy start to win easing down over C&D at the start of the month. That was a modest contest but so is this and Tony Carroll's gelding has already won five times at this level. He looks the one to beat again. Uphold has to give plenty of weight to the three-year-olds but wouldn't be far away on his best form and looks a better bet than Easydoesit, well beaten when favourite for a Brighton seller 12 days ago. Colzium and Imperial Fong both sport headgear for the first time but have shown little to date.
