Verdict

STALLONE (NAP) signalled an imminent victory when a close third in a much better race than this on heavy ground at Nottingham and duly obliged on similar going at Leicester where he gave 15lb and a 5l beating to the runner-up in apprentice race. He'll shoot up the weights as a consequence but escapes a penalty and will take some beating. Mitigator completed a double when scoring here in July though that was on fast ground and he's 8lb higher. Ecstasea ran easily her best race to date at Brighton thogh has never faced soft going while Dutch Story's course and distance victory was gained on good to firm. Bullington Boy was well beaten into third on soft ground at Chester while Pentland Lad's double in the spring came at Kempton.
