Dreamboat Dave started off in Ireland but has improved with each run for new connections though has to carry a penalty for last week's victory at Chelmsford. MISTRESS NELLIE is still a maiden but has gone close on numerous occasions including twice over this course and distance. She was beaten a short-head at Brighton last week when the favourite Poucor ran very poorly and can finally get off the mark. Homesick Boy is also a maiden and is only slowly coming down the weights while it's a very long time since Incredible Dream was in the winners' enclosure. Cheng Gong ran well on fast ground here in July and at Wolverhampton last time but has yet to encounter soft going.
