This is a very tricky claiming event with many out of form horses, but Maria Bonita has strong claims and is chosen to beat Lillianna and Fu Fighter. This daughter of Octagonal is trying this trip for the first time having chased home Belisco Boy over ten furlongs at Lingfield last time. The extra distance shouldn't be a problem as she put up some very good displays over a mile as a juvenile. Fu Fighter is also trying a mile and half for the first time having raced over further recently. On official ratings he should have every chance and makes appeal for each-way purposes. Lillianna put up some decent displays earlier in the season over a mile, but struggled when stepped up a couple of furlongs. Maybe this further distance is what is required for Henry Cecil's filly. So a very tough race to assess, but if Maria Bonita can recapture her two-year-old form she will be difficult to beat.
