In depth

Verdict

Spangled Mac made a winning handicap debut when landing an apprentices’ race upped to 7f at Kempton. He escapes a penalty but NOYA is preferred over today’s trip. The latter was beaten less than a length in a tight finish at Newbury and the winner has already gone in again. Boadicea Belle has won a couple of lower grade sprints on the all-weather and will find this tougher.
