POLAR LIGHT is still a maiden after a dozen starts but his third place at Nottingham was in a Class 4 handicap and this is a big drop in grade. He can record his first victory with the champion in the saddle though Player's Luck, who is making his handicap debut after the regulation three runs, hails from a yard in top form and will attract attention. The Night King won at Chelmsford for Mick Channon and on good to soft at Lingfield for new connections a couple of weeks ago so has to be considered though the main threat may arrive in the shape of Change Maker, who got no sort of run on his handicap debut over a mile at Kempton three weeks ago.
