        Verdict

        William Buick has a tremendous strike-rate riding for Mark Johnston and Ready To Impress has been gelded since his close-up third at Wolverhampton in October, though is having a first run on Turf. Flintrock improved on a third at Salisbury to win at Bath and has proven stamina but would need more here to defy a penalty. Mapped has shown definite promise and Godolphin’s newcomer Volcanic Sky is a full brother to a 1m2f winner and a half-brother to 1m4f winner Movie Set. Guardsman is a likely improver but CALIBURN was finishing strongly at Thirsk, despite still showing signs of inexperience. He was only a short-head behind a subsequent winner so the form has a solid look about it.
