Verdict

Last year's winner CLERICAL will be all the better for his reappearance behind The Tatling over 5f here 12 days ago. It looks like Robert Cowell's gelding has been targeted at the race again and he should prove hard to beat, despite a 5lb higher mark this time. Atia was well backed at Chepstow on her latest start but found the softer going against her. She could be well treated at present and can't be ignored on this quicker surface, while Christine Dunnett does well at her local track and both Captainrisk and course winner Rileys Crane are others for the short-list Top weight Imjin River may be the pick of the remainder.
