Sussex Girl, successful off a higher mark on soft ground here last year, looked to be running into form last time at Newmarket and the champion takes over the reins. Last year’s runner-up Tyrsal is something of a standing dish around here but has gone up a couple of pounds since his latest neck second and Ataman looks a few pounds too high back on the Flat after failing ti take to hurdles. LUNAR DEITY has done all of his winning over shorter but wasn’t stopping up the this trip at Sandown and is very well treated nowadays. Zoffany Bay has run well the last twice but looks to be treading water off his current mark and has never won on Turf. Carraigin Aonair has been well beaten twice over hurdles since winning a modest contest at Lingfield.
