In depth

Verdict

Sans Pretention got off the mark with a hard-fought success in an ordinary Catterick maiden and it's reasonable to expect further improvement from the William Haggas-trained daughter of Galileo. However, TRUE COURAGE (NAP) has looked an improved performer on his last two outings, winning in authoritative style over this trip at Ripon and Leicester. He gets on very well with Dylan Hogan and is fancied to complete the hat-trick in the hope that the rains stay away from the Norfolk coast as both wins arrived on good to firm. Home And Dry was tailed off to the tune of 46 lengths last time and is hard to assess, so the unexposed Amalfi Bay is suggested as next best.
