EVE LODGE, considered good enough to contest the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, wasn't disgraced in coming home tenth of fifteen, beaten under seven lengths by the winner, Sandrine. She'd previously scored smoothly at Lingfield and sets the standard. Ye Gud Thing travelled well when scoring rather snugly here last month and is respected in what may prove a slightly better race, whilst both Lucky Shake and Romantic Time have shown sufficient ability to be considered. That said, Crocodile Tears may prove the leading threat after posting a more than satisfactory debut behind a more experienced rival at Bath. She should improve plenty for the run.
