Favouring is set to go up another 2lbs in future handicaps following a decent effort behind stablemate Orpen Wide at Beverley last month and deserves to get his head in front but Keyaki caught the eye on her return and gets the vote in preference to Michael Chapman's gelding with Dr Synn rated the best of the remainder. The selection ran encouragingly over an inadequate six furlongs at Folkestone on her return and with the yard's runners in such good form now, she looks worth backing stepping up to a more suitable distance now. Life's A Whirl remains a maiden and may be best watched for the moment, while Charlie Bear could probably do with some help from the handicapper. John Akehurst's Dr Synn ran better at Goodwood last time and has claims on that evidence but preference is for Keyaki, who is taken to resume winning ways.
