    Verdict

Bill Turner's horses always have to be respected in this grade and Ladas Lad is no exception but more solid claims are held by Denton Hawk, who is preferred to Eastern Playboy. The last mentioned would not need to be out of the ordinary to take a hand in the finish here on his debut but it has to be of concern that he is pitched in at this level. Christine Dunnett has a good record at Yarmouth but her representative All Talk is becoming expensive to follow, while Feisty probably has more to do than when landing a seller at Wolverhampton last time. The vote then goes to Denton Hawk, who ran better at Musselburgh over five furlongs last time and may be worth another chance over this longer trip.
