chased leaders, ridden 2f out, stayed on to lead final strides
dwelt, held up mid-division, headway over 2f out, chasing leaders when lost action, eased over 1f out
chased leaders, ridden to lead over 1f out, headed final strides
slowly into stride, always in rear
keen, tracked leader, led 3f out, ridden, headed over 1f out, soon weakened
held up mid-division, ridden, headway 2f out, kept on one pace
went left start, held up in rear, headway over 2f out, ridden, every chance from 1f out, unable to quicken near finish
chased leaders over 4f
pulled hard, led, headed 3f out, soon weakened
always towards rear
mid-division, ridden 4f out, weakened 3f out
This looks a wide open fillies handicap with Sister Act, Cassiara, Life's A Whirl and Mugeba all with a chance but we will take a chance with the last named. Mugeba had been in decent form finishing in the place prize money before getting her haed in front at Newmarket last time out. She only has a four pound hike in the weights for that success and we feel she could still be one step ahead of the handicapper. Sister Act is less exposed with only three runs under her belt. She disappointed inbetween runs but caught the eye last time out when third to Novikov at Newmarket so is one to keep an eye on in the market. As is Life's A Whirl who has a vast amount of experience and looked as though she might be comong back to form at Lingfield on her latest run when placed second of fifteen. Cassiara is winless after eleven attemps but is another who warrants respect as she ran well at Nottingham when third to Truly Enchanting so is worth noting. But in a wide opener affair the tentative vote goes to Mugeba who wont mind the conditions.
