    Verdict

A very poor contest which revolves around just two of them, Oldenway and Undeterred and over this trip Oldenway gets the nod. Richard Fahey¿s gelding has won up to as far as 14 furlongs and looks better equipped for this trip (just short of 12 furlongs) than his chief rival. Strictly speaking in concession of 10lbs he should find it tough enough, but he will have a definite stamina edge over the course winner Undeterred and can make the most of that. The latter has never won beyond 9f and only last summer was winning over sprint trips, so this must surely stretch him beyond recall. The other trio look to have hopeless chances at these weights, although Starcross Maid is the best of them, but we will take Oldenway to score.
