Verdict

BHALTAIR is taken to better his latest effort when third of six here last time against a quartet of rivals who all have a question mark against them. The McCain charge continues to produce a reliable effort most starts and clearly holds Trooper Clarence on their recent running, the topweight currently struggling to find his best form. Get It On, stable companion of the latter, appears in the grip of the handicapper at present and Mister Matt may emerge as the prime danger to the selection. He handles these conditions well, was in fair form when last seen and returns to action after a nice two-month break.
