A very tough start for punters. Silent Knight has obvious claims on his debut over fences under Rules having won over hurdles here in July and scored between the flags. Macarthur is starting out over fences at an advanced age but has been running well over timber on this track while Danners has more experience over the bigger obstacles than most and has shown ability. Winning point-to-pointer Red Devils Lad has always looked more likely to do better over fences than hurdles, a remark than also applies to Smiles For Miles, who will be suited by a test of stamina. BAYLEY'S DREAM hasn't had much experience and is progressing nicely. He was staying on strongly at the finish of his latest run over timber at Warwick and looks well enough treated to make a successful debut over fences. Westerly Breeze and The Happy Warrior are at the right end of the handicap and both can make their presence felt.
