Verdict

There is always guesswork involved in juvenile hurdles at this stage of the season. Maria Magdalena has shown an aptitude for jumping but her progress may have flattened out and she has a penalty to carry having got off the mark at the fifth attempt at Market Rasen. Attached to Alan King’s yard, there’s s good chance that HUMMDINGER will prove better over hurdles than on the Flat. He has finished second twice on the level this year and will have had plenty of schooling. Two Blondes and Maktay were both behind Maria Magdalena at Stratford but Glutnforpunishment is interesting having won four times on the Flat this year up to 1m5f.
