Though only second over track and trip last month, JEN’S BOY has won both starts since in the style of improving stayer and may be capable of defying a further 6lb rise. Sebastian Beach is still 2lb higher than when runner-up here in May with his latest run coming over fences. Wilberdragon last ran over hurdles in 2016 but has fallen to a very lenient mark so makes more appeal than Tea Time Fred and Will O'The West.
Wilberdragon 7-1 (11-9) Held up last, closer at 9th, 4th after 12th, reminders before 14th, mistake and weakened next, tailed off and pulled up before 3 out, at Southwell 3m hcp (4) gd in Jul.
Sebastian Beach (IRE) 7-1 (10-11) Held up towards rear, headway before 3 out, ridden before 2 out, kept on same pace, 3rd of 6, 20 3/4l behind Creadan Grae (11-12) at Perth 2m 4f hcp (3) gs in Jul.
Jen's Boy 2-1 (10-12) Tracked leaders, led before 2 out, soon ridden, stayed on when hard pressed after last, asserted final 50 yards, won at Market Rasen 2m 7f hcp (4) gd in Aug beating Final Choice (12-1) by 5l, 8 ran.
Will O'The West (IRE) 16-1 (11-13) Always behind, 6th of 13, 23 1/4l behind River Icon (11-11) at Perth 2m 4f hcp (4) sft in Jul.
