The four penalised contenders all have the potential to progress again from what they've achieved so far, so this looks interesting with the future in mind. Special Account hacked up in a Newton Abbot maiden hurdle and is re-routed here after being taken out of a hot summer novices' chase at the weekend. Parkam Jack followed up a good bumper second here by landing a course success quite comfortably last time and David Rees' French import Superman De La Rue has already notched a fair Newton Abbot handicap in some style before going down narrowly latest. However, THE FONZ, an ex-Stoute inmate on the level, looked very much on the upgrade last time when defeating Lieutenant Miller is a competitive Southwell handicap and might just be too good in a fascinating affair.
