Verdict

Modest fare in which nothing makes any strong appeal and it may be the time for FIDELITY to gain a first career success. Despite a lack of a victory on his scoresheet, he does have the virtue of consistency and a repeat of either of his last two handicap runs would surely see him involved at the business end off a mark of 83. He has conditions to suit. Weld Arab has the highest official of these by some way and the three-time winner on the all-weather has every chance of getting off the mark over timber on the back of a really good run when a close second at Southwell this month. He has conditions to suit and Harry Cobden is booked. Sixties Idol could improve over timber after just half a dozen starts but has work to do and Peppay Le Pugh is better shortlist material if producing his best but has proved highly inconsistent.
