In depth

Verdict

Veverka, Wee Danny and Better Moment are three against the field in a tough race to call for punters and the vote is given to Better Moment. The selection has plenty of ability but is an enigmatic type. However he was a fair third behind Top Trees last time out, looks on a fair mark despite top weight and under conditions that suit he looks a value bet. Veverka rates the main danger on his latest second behind Rabbit. He looks sure to appreciate the step up in trip and will not be far away.Wee Danny has been in fair form of late but just gave the impression the handicaper had caught up with him when fourt behind Tarremerique last time. Needle Prick showed improved form to be third last time out and if he improved again he could go well at a price. Of the remainder Keltic Lord looks on a handy mark and could go well at a price but in a arce where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Better Moment.
