Only three of these have chasing experience. Judge Earle has won five times since June but may be in the handicapper’s grip now. Easkey Lad has gone up 9lb for winning in lesser company at Uttoxeter but Sam Barton is interesting having placed four times earlier in the year. Fergal O’Brien runs three and Barrakhov and Autonomous Cloud have the scope to do well over fences but MANOTHEPEOPLE has already won between the flags as well as two hurdle races and looks the one to be on. In Rem rattled up a five-timer over timber last season and Kayf Hernando and Art Decco are also worth noting for future reference.
In Rem (FR) 11-4 (10-13) In rear but in touch, ridden and effort before 8th, not fluent and struggling 4 out, well beaten after 3 out, 5th of 8, 36 3/4l behind Boss Man Fred (11-4) at Warwick 3m 2f hcp (3) gs in Mar.
Sam Barton 4-1 (11-8) Held up in rear, headway after 13th, closed before 3 out and soon every chance, outpaced by leaders after last but kept on, 3rd of 11, 5l behind Duc De Beauchene (11-12) at Newbury 2m 6f hcp (3) gd in Apr.
Judge Earle (IRE) 11-10fav (10-12) Led, not fluent headed and lost 2nd 13th, outpaced and struggling 3 out, soon beaten, last of 3, 26 1/2l behind Twig (11-10) at Warwick 3m hcp (3) gd in Oct.
Autonomous Cloud (IRE) 2-1 (11-5) Led, not fluent 3 out, ridden and headed approaching last when untidy, ran on well flat but could not match pace of winner, 2nd of 6, 3/4l behind Pimlico Point (11-5) at Chepstow 2m 3f (4) gs in Mar.
Art Decco 50-1 (11-7) Not always fluent in last pair, pushed along and no impression 3 out, stayed on steadily from 2 out to take never dangerous 4th flat, 4th of 6, 11 1/4l behind Has Troke (11-7) at Fontwell 2m 3f (4) sft in Feb.
Barrakhov (IRE) 15-2 (11-7) Held up in rear, blundered 1st, headway before 8th, hit 3 out, chased winner before next, held when mistake last, 2nd of 11, 7 1/2l behind Nickelsonthedime (12-1) at Warwick 3m 1f hcp (5) gd in May.
Easkey Lad (IRE) 9-2 (11-0) Chased leaders, jumped left 10th, went 2nd at 12th, led 4 out, good jump 3 out, shaken up and in command after 2 out, ran down left final fence, stayed on, readily, won at Uttoxeter 3m hcp (5) gs in Oct beating Flying Verse (11-13) by 3 1/2l, 8 ran.
Manothepeople (IRE) 4-1 (11-10) Made all, joined omitted 2 out, clear before omitted last, stayed on strongly, unchallenged (all three hurdles in home straight omitted due to low sun, only five hurdles in total jumped), won at Doncaster 3m hcp (4) gs in Mar beating Highstakesplayer (12-3) by 5l, 7 ran.
Kayf Hernando 5-1 (10-7) Close up, pushed along and dropped to last before 3 out, went 3rd when not fluent 2 out, no extra before last, 3rd of 4, 15l behind Steinkraus (10-4) at Newcastle 2m 6f hcp (2) gd in Mar.
