In depth

Verdict

Witch From Rome gave notice of better to come when a close fourth at Newton Abbot and gained his first success on his 21st start over the track and trip last month for which he's up 6lb. THIRTYFOURSTITCHES landed a handicap over 2m4f here in June then a novices' handicap over the trip at Market Rasen. He looks on the upgrade and can defy a 4lb rise. Get An Oscar is 1-23 over timber and hasn't won for two years while Veiled Secret won over 2m4f here before a moderate effort on a return visit. Spanish Jump was having only his fifth start over timber when runner-up to Ulysses, who was receiving 28lb, here last month and is staying the longer trip will be a major threat.
