A typically tricky handicap hurdle and a number of these have form that is inter-linked. Fundamental, Saorsie and Harmony Hall are old rivals and can be expected to figure in the shake-up. However, Henry Oliver gets on well with the headstrong Waterspray and the partnership are given a tentative vote after a most encouraging effort at Newton Abbot at the start of this month. Mister Chisum is another to monitor in the betting market and can be forgiven his latest blip when falling under today's rider at Cartmel last month. He is usually better at his hurdles than that and could be good value for a place today. But Waterspray, who is still open to improvement over hurdles, has shown a useful turn of foot on his day and if Oliver can keep him on an even keel he must go close in a race of this nature.
