In depth

Verdict

A large field goes to post for this contest but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Makeabreak,Celtic Flame and Chestnut Annie and the confident vote is given to Makeabreak. The selection was a fair second behind Soonoma last time out, that form looks rock solid in the context of this race and under conditions that suit he need only reproduce that effort to win this with plenty in hand. Celtic Flame rates the main danger on his latest second behind Hill Forts Timmy but even that effort leaves him with plenty to find with the selection and for that reason he is opposed. Chestnut Annie is another with place claims on her latest third behind Busy Isit but she is bred to be suited by further. Of the remainder Alaskan Fizz is from a yard in form and could go well at price but Makeabreak sets a fair standard and will be hard to beat.
