Verdict

Hadron Collider and Stormyisland Ahead have both shown a decent level of form in winning races at Uttoxeter and Clonmel respectively but they both have penalties to carry and they may anchor the pair with a better bet looking to be QROKTOU. Philip Hobbs has his team in good heart and the six-year-old, a bumper winner at Newbury in December 2008, has shown the best form of all of these over timber having earned a rating of 122 following a decent second to Munlochy Bay in a novices' handicap at Cheltenham on his most recent start in April. Keith Goldsworthy's Bob Casey and the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Tullyraine are others to consider but Qroktou looks the one to beat.
