L'Eminence Grise was highly tried in his first season over timber. He's dropped in grade now and it would be no surprise to see Nick Williams' grey go close on his reappearance. Elsafeer won at Uttoxeter in July before running prolific winner Manger Hanagment to a length-and-a-half over 2m6f at Sedgefield but the drop in distance is a worry in this. Paddy The Hare scored over 2m at Uttoxeter in July but hasn't improved on that, while Gemini Jim has to improve on some inconsistent form in points. BROUGH ACADEMY looks a scopey individual, however, having won a bumper for Joanna Morgan in August. Now with Lawney Hill, further progress should be forthcoming and he can make a winning start to his hurdling career.
