Verdict
Joshua The First was beaten three lengths over C&D last month when getting 9lb from Zakreet. The latter had earlier beaten NEVER PERFECT on level terms in soft ground at Newcastle and Tom Tate's charge comes out best on that line of form. With improvement expected, he can open his account. Silver Blaze was well behind the selection at Newcastle but has since gone very close on fast going at Redcar where he had Night Flash well beaten. Neither Ashwaat nor Hunting Gonk showed enough on their debuts to be recommended here, though both are expected to improve.
