Verdict
CHOOKIE AVON scored over 7f at Newcastle in soft ground before going close again over the same trip here last week. Today's drop back in distance shouldn't be too much of an inconvenience and he gets the vote. Mottley Crewe is proving best on the all-weather which is why he can race off a 7lb lower mark despite going close at Wolverhampton last time, while both Mark Anthony and Choc'A'Moca could also figure but have something to prove in soft going. Gracie's Gift could prove best of the remainder.
