This presents Artane Boy with a good chance to get off the mark on these shores after a couple of near misses and he is selected in preference to Made In France and Takash, who spearhead the challenge from the rest. Richard Johnson is a good jockey booking for Cullen Road though and any market confidence for the partnership should not be ignored. Made In France is an interesting debutante from the Martin Pipe yard, whose French form is difficult to equate for reference here. Therefore the four-year-old is best watched as he reverts to hurdles this afternoon. By way of contrast, Artane Boy has shaped with plenty promise since he joined Jonjo O'Neill form Christy Roche and this looks to be an ideal opportunity for him to get a confidence booster before moving on to handicaps.
